This use to have an older model with longer more durable cord... my only issue with this controller is how it falls apart after almost no use even though out of the box it feels amazing to use. Great replacement as a plugnplay from when my wireless dongle finally bit the dust. I take great care of all my electronics but please read on as I find it important to convey that the newer ones MIGHT end up breaking on you fast!-Gaming feel 5/5 (responsive, fits larger hands like mine, overall performs like an official controller for half the price)-Durability 1/5 (the second one I bought fell apart in four days, generally from other friends that ordered this as well all had this thing have some kind of issue within the first three months I must have lucked out with my first initial purchase)-overall 3/5 (definitely insure this thing in case it dies on you)I've owned two of these controllers now, the first one was initially cheaper and lasted far longer. When the A button began sticking with each press I ordered another one with the hopes it'd last 2 years again... nope! Within the first four days the wires at the base of the new controller were exposed AND both analog sticks had insane amounts of drift. Luckily I had kept the old controller and with a bit of ingenuity I combined all the working parts into something Frankenstein would be proud of. Bottom line most controllers eventually break or need replacing, this one is cost efficient and you get what you pay for if you treat it carefully. Good to note that these can be used for spare parts on official controllers etc in case you really don't want to drop a good amount on a new official Xbox controller... just takes some mix and matching to make it all work!Did as intendedI bought this for some light PC gaming (Madden and FIFA). I have a 360 but the controllers didn't work with the computer. I tried dongles but they didn't work with Windows 10. So rather than buy a $40+ XBOX One controller that would feel different in my hands after years and years of 360, I bought this <$20 wired controller. It feels good in the hands. The wire means no battery pack, so it's lighter than my OEM controllers. The plastic material of it mimics well the material of the OEM, and the button angles are all about right as well. It's a good mock.Where it falls short is the gameplay. I'm by no means a super-gamer (the list pretty much is exhausted after Madden, FIFA, and Civilization Revolution), but the buttons are a bit clunky for my liking. That might be a product of them needing to "break in" like a good pair of shoes, but right now I feel that I have to press harder to use RB, for example, on this controller than I do on the OEM.The joysticks rotate with no inhibitions though, so that's good. I think I notice a little bit of lag in gameplay during Madden, but that might just be because I'm actually bad at the game and maybe my decision-making isn't where it used to be--a real possibility.Overall, the controller does what its asked to do (with or without phantom lag). It was necessary and I don't regret the decision given the price. But if there were a dongle that would work with my original 360 controllers, give me them all day every day over this one.i didn't think they would take over but they did. it has decentlength and durability. real, real easy to use. good for pinballand other x tek games. perfect fit. i used the glow and dark (not here)ones and they rock on other pc's and studio efx big. even sailormoonhooks well.Plugged it in and worked right away. Was great for playing Rogue Legacy 2, all the buttons worked fine. You will want to be very careful when using the controller, normal place use it holds up fine as long as you are soft on the r/l bumper buttons (not the triggers those are strong). The left bumper broke from normal play use, it was still usable but the button stopped springing back up. The right bumper was a casualty of playing in the basement with tile floor and dropping it multiple times from the height of sitting in a chair. Never thrown across the room in anger, I assume it would break those buttons instantly. If you play in carpet and/or the main user is going to be an adult or someone who won't throw the controller, Its a great purchase. Mine lasted about 2 years before the right bumper stopped working all together. I took it apart and investigated and the bumpers are very fragile where it hooks to the controller. As long as you are very careful, you can't beat the price point.
