2nd hand and repaired. Works fine for the price.The game did not work when we received it, however my husband was able to take it apart and got it going. I believe the vendor should have stated that the game did not work in the description of the item.Glad this product is still available! I've had my FreeCell for well over 10 years.... I ordered a new one, just in case the current one 'ever' shoots craps. Batteries seldom need replaced and the current device is played daily. I'm assuming the same high quality.I LOVE THIS GAME!I purchased this for my grandmother as a Christmas gift. This will be here third handheld FreeCell game in this style. She has played her other handhelds until they run completely dead. After so long batteries cannot fix the dimming of the screen. I saw her holding her previous handheld at an angle so that she could make out the numbers on the screen (keep in mind that this was after years of usage). This will be one of the best presents this Christmas. This would be a five star product if it were not such an expensive product.Bought as a present and the person loves it.I don't like the fact that there is no light so I can play it at night while in bed. The buttons under each row, especially the end ones, I end up accidentally pressing the wrong button. I much prefer the one I had previously which was rounded at the top and looked like the shape of a light bulb but that is way too expensive. I originally bought that one at Target for $20 and for it now to be over $100 is absolutely absurd.My mom is 86 and she likes her handheld Freecell. When hers broke I tried to convince her to play freecell on the pc but she'd rather give up freecell completely. It was great that I was able to find one for her here. I can always count on Amazon to locate odd items!
