The air valve on mine was kind of pushing out right from purchase which was annoying. The ball feels pretty good overall, and has held up reasonably well to 3 game a week for a few months now. It is the 2nd choice ball when someone brings the indoor leather version. I debated going with the indoor and just using it outside, but was hesitant to spend that much. I would order this again next year, and probably will need to as the grip is going pretty quickly.I play basketball on a outdoor court almost everyday. When I can get to an indoor court I go to my trusty Wilson Evolution, but that wasn't possible during the pandemic. The outdoor court closest to my house has pretty rough cement so I know I will have to change the basketball around every three months. I am OK with spending $50 every three months for my hobby. However, I have bought and returned many Spalding balls around the $40 price range, and all of them now has degrading quality compared to their same models four or five years ago. The latest and greatest offender is the Spalding Zi/O which feels like a toddler's ball and lighter than official weight. I gave all of them a one star detailing my utter disappointment with the Spalding brand. This ball does not let me down. Weight is accurate, bounce has a heft, soft with plenty of grip. Does not attract dust like most other balls I tried, even when dirty the deep channels helps out a lot.The only downside is that the inflation nozzle is not flush with the ball, you can feel it when you touch it and changes your bounce direction (though that is less of a problem when you are on somewhat uneven cement anyways). If only they fixed this small flaw this would be the best outdoor basketball that money can buy for me, after almost trying them all (thanks Amazon for the generous return policy).A good basketball for indoor useMy daughter likes basketball more with this pink ball. It's great for her little hands to dribble up and down the court. He was the envy of all the other kids.Got for my 9 year old and has been the best ball we have bought yet. We have tried a few different brands and this one has held up the best. Used on the street, outdoor court and indoor. Would buy againI purchased *5* of these balls so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. For the price they can't be beat. They are not the best balls out there but they are the best for under $20.They are perfect outdoor balls since they are so cheap: I use them mostly outside so they get worn down sooner rather than later but every ball gets worn down outside. Still, it was durable enough to last a while. At this price you can get 2 or 3 for the price of 1 expensive one and those 3 will last you much longer than the single expensive one.One important note: There are actually 2 versions of this ball. They are similar but slightly different. 1 version is made in Taiwan and it is a bit softer, lighter, and higher quality. The Chinese version is heavier, and a bit more "plastic" like with less quality. It is still OK but hope for the Taiwan version. The UPC numbers are exactly the same but the lettering/font is a bit different, the air hole is different, and obviously, one says Made in Taiwan and one says Made in China.I write this from the point of view of a former high school player and regular at my local 24 hour fitness. I've had the ball for about seven months and have played hundreds of pickup games and shoot-arounds with this ball. I grew up using the more expensive and superior Evolution and several other NFHS basketballs.First thing out of the box you'll notice is that the ball isn't anywhere near as orange as the pictures make them out to be. It's a orange with a dark pink hue. If you held the Evolution/Solution/TF1000 next to it you'd see the major difference. The ball has decent grip (great for the price range) and is passable for a game ball. If you're not playing much hoops and/or aren't going to take it very seriously, this ball is best for 95% of players out there. The ball is nowhere near as soft of spongy as the Evolution, which is a potential plus in competitive games where a form shooter will outplay someone who relies on touch to shoot. It feels more like a regular leather ball than a composite in the shooting motion.Things I don't necessarily enjoy about the ball:1) It had an odd bounce, especially the first few months of using it. I had a really hard time handling the ball in games until I got it down. While I may not be a slasher, I mastered the moves I practiced for years (single step crossover, through and behind dribble-to-drive, etc) but this ball wasn't going exactly where I was bouncing it, resulting in sloppy handling. Switch to an Evolution and I look like a competent ball handler.2) It may not hold up to as much game time as I put into it. Looking at the pictures you can see the wear and tear already. That's of only hooping twice a week for 2 hours at a time.3) This may be a personal nitpick but the grip of the bar-code location is slick as butter during a game. What were they thinking? All in all, it's a decent ball. I probably wont buy another ball for a while until this really shows its wear. I'll be switching back to the Evolution or Solution when I do.Quality ball. Can be used in/out door courts. To get the grip back, rinse the ball under water and wipe dry.Make sure your ball comes with the barcode and product code WTB07_30.I'm nothing short of displeased with the quality of this product. The day I received the basketball I pumped it up for use in an indoor basketball court. I used it the day I got it in the indoor basketball court it felt a little undersized but it was fine to play with. However, the next day in my room I pick up the ball and most of the air has escaped from the ball. I pump the ball up again and dribble it, to test it, it felt slightly flat. Yet again after playing for around 10 mins the ball starts to deflate. It still cannot contain the air within in. Disappointed.I am very disappointed with the quality of the ball, I was expecting a basketball that would last for more than one day.I would advise that you stay away from this seller and product.Listen, if a basketball is what you’re after. This is the one. I know what you’re thinking can I get a cheap rubber basketball, you could if you like the ball to bounce back a mile every time it hits the backboard. This ball is made of composite leather, this tuff makes this ball have a little soft feeling in it, which helps in the great feel it has when you catch it. Unlike those cheap basket balls this one feels comfy in the hand and is great for passing. Like I said before I hate it when you throw a basketball and it flies off the hoop. That’s because they make them as bounced as they can. Here it still bounces has great feeling and when you throw it at the backboard doesn’t fly off. To be clear this won’t improve your game by night and day however if you can improve it even a little why not?Been using this basketball nearly everyday for 2 months on asphalt and it has held up very well. In that time I've only needed to pump it up once initial (gets delivered deflated) meaning it hasn't leaked much or if any air which is very important when purchasing any basketball.Much of the grip of the ball has been worn down, that being said it still holds up nicely when dribbling and I haven't found that to be an issue. The branding on the ball is also beggining to rub off but this is expected after heavy use.If you'll be playing outside and need a solid basketball then I'd definitely recommend this Wilson NCAA basketball.I ordered this ball to start up a weekly indoor basketball training session at work every Friday. The build quality is excellent and it feels great to play with despite being a beginner myself. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reasonably priced ball without compromising on quality. Just remember that the ball comes deflated so order a pump if you don't already have one - don't make the same mistake I did and order a cheap and cheerful pump. It didn't have the power to inflate the ball and is now in a bin somewhere. Well worth spending a bit extra on a decent pump to avoid disappointment!
